SONG RECITAL
He is one of the major figures behind the art of French song in the 20th century. He recently passed away on 17 August 2004, and Claves is honored to pay homage to him by releasing two of his LP recordings from the end of the 1950’s on a CD: ancient Italian and Spanish songs as well as eight Lieder by Franz Liszt, accompanied on the piano by his partner of long standing Dalton Baldwin. It is a moving testimony that pays homage to an artist who occasionally was the object of unmerited reproach by critics.
