Ramón Vargas is currently regarded as one of the world’s leading tenors, regularly appearing at the most important opera houses, including the Opera Bastille in Paris, Covent Garden in London, the Metropolitan in New York, the Vienna State Opera, etc. 1992 was a very important year in the career of the young and upcoming Mexican singer; his debuts at the Vienna State Opera, at the Metropolitan in New York and at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan marked his establishment as an international star. 1992 was also the year of his first solo recording featuring opera arias by Rossini and Donizetti, here in a re-issue.
